- Black Gold Race is offering a four-race series.
- 170 Mile
- 220 Mile
- 280 Mile
- 350-400 Mile
- If the race speed is expected to be higher than 1,500 ypm, the distance will change from 350 to 400 miles.
- All birds must be banded with a 2024 seamless band recognized by a National Organization (AU, IF, CU, etc.)
- Accepting birds from March 15th through May 31st.
- Will Accept replacement birds before May 31st.
- We will take 2,000 birds.
- Birds will be vaccinated for PMV, and treated for coccidiosis, canker, and internal/external parasites before entering the racing loft.
- All birds will be on a lights-cycle system.
- All birds will have their 9th and 10th flight pulled By June 15th.
- Perch Fee is $150 per bird or 5 birds at $150 each + 1 extra bird.
- The perch fee must be sent with the birds.
- The Entry Fee is $350 per bird due after the 100 Mile Activation Race.
- Entry fees must be paid after the 100 Mile Activation Race and before the 150 Mile Race.
- All birds must be activated to maintain eligibility.
- Breeder retains ownership of all activated birds.
- Birds not activated by the time of the 150 Mile Race will become the property of the Black Gold Race and may be activated by another breeder.
- Entry fees will be refunded if the bird does not make it to the 150 Mile Race.
- All training and race releases will be posted on Facebook Live.
- Race dates are subject to change due to weather conditions and the condition of the birds.
- Birds will NOT BE released if winds exceed 15 mph out of south, north, or side winds.
- Prizes are paid by the first drop then clocking order in the 350 Mile Race. The first drop is considered the first pigeons arriving in one group -for example: if 10 birds arrive together, the first 10 prizes will be added and divided by 10 equal amounts.
- All races are open for 48 hours from the time of release.
- In the event that no birds clock within the 48-hour period all money will be divided equally among actual birds sent to that particular race and refunded minus 15%.
- If a bird does not clock and is known to have been in the drop, the bird will be entered as the last bird in that drop. If there is a tie, the birds will share that prize equally.
- If all prizes are not claimed within the 48-hour window of a particular race, the remaining monies will be divided equally among the winners minus 10%.
- Birds will be shipped back at the breeder’s expense at the current USPS rate + the cost of a brand-new box.
- Birds not claimed 10 days after the last race will become the property of the Black Gold Race.
- Black Gold Race will payout all the prizes within 21 days of the final race.
- 15% of entry fees will be held for race expenses.
- Black Gold Race reserves the right to make all final decisions.
- Black Gold Race reserves the right to deny entry to any breeder not following the rules.
- No pooling or gambling of any type will be allowed on the property.
- W-9 forms will need to be completed if winnings are $600 or more.
- To enter the race, participants must be 21 years or older and are responsible for all applicable taxes.
- Black Gold Race will be using Wincompanion for live clocking and BENZING One Loft Race.
- BGR Space City 450 miles will be an optional race.
- BGR Space City 450 miles cost per bird will be $250.
- BGR Space City 450 miles will be flown 2 weeks after the final race weather permitting.
- BGR will allow 7 days to separate and pay for birds going to Space City 450 miles.
- BGR will hold 20% of entries for Space City 450 miles for race expenses.
